Basic Job Description:Fabricate and assemble aircraft tubing or cable components or assemblies.

1) Sets up and operates machines and systems to crimp, cut, bend, form, swage, flare, bead, burr, and straighten tubing, according to specifications.
2) Assembles and attaches fittings onto cable and tubing components, using hand tools.
3) Measures, cuts, and inspects cable and tubing, using master template, measuring instruments, and cable cutter or saw.
4) Welds tubing and fittings, and solders cable ends, using tack-welder, induction brazing chamber, or other equipment.
5) Fabricates cable templates.
6) Verifies dimensions of cable assembly and position of fittings, using measuring instruments, and repairs and reworks defective assemblies.
