Basic Job Description:Compete in athletic events.

1) Exercise and practice under the direction of athletic trainers or professional coaches, in order to develop skills, improve physical condition, and prepare for competitions.
2) Maintain optimum physical fitness levels by training regularly, following nutrition plans, and consulting with health professionals.
3) Participate in athletic events and competitive sports, according to established rules and regulations.
4) Receive instructions from coaches and other sports staff prior to events, and discuss their performance afterwards.
5) Lead teams by serving as captains.
6) Maintain equipment used in a particular sport.
