Basic Job Description:Direct and coordinate, through subordinate supervisory personnel, activities of workers engaged in fish hatchery production for corporations, cooperatives, or other owners.

1) Determines, administers, and executes policies relating to administration, standards of hatchery operations, and facility maintenance.
2) Oversees trapping and spawning of fish, egg incubation, and fry rearing, applying knowledge of management and fish culturing techniques.
3) Oversees movement of mature fish to lakes, ponds, streams or commercial tanks.
4) Collects information regarding techniques for collecting, fertilizing, incubating spawn, and treatment of spawn and fry.
5) Accounts for and dispenses funds.
6) Prepares reports required by state and federal laws.
