1) Repairs or replaces tools and defective parts, such as handles, vises, pliers, or metal buckets, using soldering tool, gas torch, power tools, or hand tools.
2) Examines and tests tools to determine defects or cause of malfunction, using hand and power tools, observation, and experience.
3) Disassembles and reassembles tools, using hand tools, power tools, or arbor press.
4) Verifies and adjusts alignment and dimensions of parts, using gauges and tracing lathe.
5) Records nature and extent of repairs performed.
6) Maintains stock of parts.
