Basic Job Description:Test, adjust, and repair gas, water, and oil meters.

1) Adjusts meter and repeats test until meter registration is within specified limits.
2) Inspects, repairs and maintains gas meters at wells or processing plants.
3) Dismantles meter and replaces defective parts, such as case, shafts, gears, disks, and recording mechanisms, using soldering iron and hand tools.
4) Connects gas, oil, water, or air meter to test apparatus to detect leaks.
5) Reassembles meter and meter parts, using soldering gun, power tools and hand tools.
6) Lubricates moving meter parts, using oil gun.
