1) Clean installation surfaces, equipment, tools, work sites, and storage areas, using water, chemical solutions, oxygen lances, or polishing machines.
2) Cut materials to specified sizes for installation, using power saws or tile cutters.
3) Erect scaffolding or other installation structures.
4) Mix mortar, plaster, and grout, manually or using machines, according to standard formulas.
5) Provide assistance in the preparation, installation, repair, and/or rebuilding of tile, brick, or stone surfaces.
6) Remove damaged tile, brick, or mortar, and clean and prepare surfaces, using pliers, hammers, chisels, drills, wire brushes, and metal wire anchors.
7) Remove excess grout and residue from tile or brick joints, using sponges or trowels.
8) Select or locate and supply materials to masons for installation, following drawings or numbered sequences.

9) Transport materials, tools, and machines to installation sites, manually or using conveyance equipment.
