Job Duties and Tasks for: "City Planning Aide"

1) Prepare, maintain and update files and records, including land use data and statistics.

2) Respond to public inquiries and complaints.

3) Research, compile, analyze and organize information from maps, reports, investigations, and books for use in reports and special projects.

4) Prepare, develop and maintain maps and databases.

5) Serve as a liaison between planning department and other departments and agencies.

6) Prepare reports, using statistics, charts, and graphs, to illustrate planning studies in areas such as population, land use, or zoning.

7) Participate in and support team planning efforts.

8) Provide and process zoning and project permits and applications.

9) Perform clerical duties such as composing, typing and proofreading documents, scheduling appointments and meetings, handling mail and posting public notices.

 

 

11) Perform code enforcement tasks.

12) Inspect sites and review plans for minor development permit applications.
