1) Fasten and install piping, fixtures, or wiring and electrical components to form assemblies or subassemblies, using hand tools, rivet guns, and welding equipment.
2) Inspect, operate, and test completed products to verify functioning, machine capabilities, and conformance to customer specifications.
3) Lay out and drill, ream, tap, and cut parts for assembly.
4) Position and align components for assembly, manually or using hoists.
5) Read and interpret assembly blueprints and specifications manuals, and plan assembly or building operations.
6) Remove rough spots, and smooth surfaces to fit, trim, or clean parts, using hand tools and power tools.
7) Rework, repair, and replace damaged parts or assemblies.
8) Set and verify parts clearances.
